February 2011: New Frigidaire IQ modulating furnace and Heat Recovery Air Exchange System

We are so happy with the work you did recently for us.  I love this
modulating furnace.  I don’t even notice when it goes on – the air blowing
out of the vents is so gentle.  The house seems more evenly heated – even in
the spots that were really cold before,  and the HRV is incredible.  We have
lived in this house for 14 years and always had moisture on our windows with
all the problems that brings.  Not even 24 hours after putting in the heat
exchange unit our windows were completely dry and have stayed that way.
This was well worth the money we spent.

You and your team were so friendly, knowledgeable and professional.  It was
a pleasure doing business with you.

February 2011: New Frigidaire system cuts gas bill in half.

As promised from my excited telephone conversation this morning, here is a computer screen “photo” of our first gas Bill showing comparative gas usage and temperature data with our new furnace.  We know the old one wasn’t working well in December 2010, but compare temperatures, degree days and usage with January 2010, when everything was presumed to be normal.

Frigidaire IQ Modulating Gas Furnace and Ductwork  Design and Installation Testimonial, Muskoka, March 2011

As my new furnace is humming away in the background I thought I’d share some comments with you regarding my experience with your company staff.

I have been living in Muskoka full time now for five years in a home that was intended to be a retirement cottage by the former owners. My only heat source was a gorgeous but inefficient stone fireplace and my very expensive electric baseboard heaters. A fireplace insert has provided the majority of my heat but when the temperature drops to -28 C it just doesn’t quite keep up. About a month ago I’d finally grown tired of hauling wood in every day and walking around the house in a sweater and down vest. I decided to make the plunge and get bids on a gas furnace.

Long story short, your quote wasn’t the cheapest but Ryan came to my home and ultimately presented the most professional quote by far. He was terrific. I provided him building plans. He answered all my questions. Later that day I had an extremely detailed quote including a scale drawing of my floor plan identifying all the heat registers and cold air return locations. Your competition was CimateAir in Barrie and The Sarjeant Co. in Bracebridge. My ultimate decision was based 100% on Ryan and his professional quote.

The installation crew arrived a week ago. Remember that I needed not only the furnace but all the duct work as well. My home doesn’t have a basement but a good sized crawl space instead which made the install much more challenging. The two man crew did an amazing job. Their work was top notch. They were true craftsmen and they were very respectful of my home. They made every effort to reduce the amount of dirt and dust created by cutting the vent holes in my floors. Two rooms have ceramic tile and my entrance is Chinese slate. They cut the 4″ x 10″ holes in the tile, slate and maple hardwood without damaging a single tile or floor board.

When the job was nearing completion they even organised the final inspection for me. I am extremely happy with the furnace and your staff right down to Sandra in accounting. Ryan offered some attractive financing but I decided to take care of it with a credit card which I could do over the phone with Sandra. The factory warranty is awesome and your supplemental warranty provides all the peace of mind I could want.

In conclusion, I’m very impressed with your company and the people who represent you.

Just a thank you to you and your team for all your hard work. I am so
impressed by the service provided to us when in need. You returned our call
ASAP, you were available to give a quote to us at our earliest convenience
which meant viewing our job a night time after hours….you provided us with
two solutions to our problem and provided us guidance to help us choose
which would be the best possible solution to fit our needs and budget. You
took the time to provide us with your expertise, provided us with a
Frigidaire Furnace the right size to accommodate a 1000sq foot ranch. The
new furnace is so small and quiet, it fits right into the small space in the
basement not like our old one which took up a lot of space. You took time to

have dropped drastically which helps our family in these cost saving times.
It was the right move for us to go with your company. We felt right from the
start you were a company we could trust, and you proved that to be true. You
and your entire team should be proud. You have high expectations of your
team and they provide nothing but great service and a high level of respect
for your customers.

Hi Ryan:The generator was installed last Thursday and Friday. I am quite pleased with the work done by your staff. I particularly would like to thank Dan. He was very polite, paid attention to detail and was very respectful of our property. For example, while a couple of others did not, he always took his shoes off when entering the premises. He also left the work area clean and removed all the garbage. When he called the company office in the US, he found out that the office was closed due to the labour day weekend.
